1. Program Overview
The Fortiris Refer & Earn program (“Program”) allows eligible Fortiris account holders (“Referrers”) to earn billing credits when they successfully refer new paying subscribers to Fortiris. Credits are applied as Fortiris account balance and reduce future Fortiris subscription invoices. Credits are not redeemable for cash, cryptocurrency, or any non-Fortiris value.
2. Eligibility
To participate as a Referrer you must: (a) hold an active Fortiris account in good standing; (b) comply with these terms and Fortiris's general Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy; and (c) not be prohibited from participating under applicable law. Fortiris reserves the right to disqualify any participant at its sole discretion.
3. How to Refer
Each eligible account holder is issued a unique 8-character referral code and a corresponding referral link at fortiris.app/r/[code]. Share your link with people who do not already have a Fortiris account. When a new user signs up via your link and completes onboarding, the referral is attributed to you.
4. Commission Structure — Phase 1
- Commission rate: 5% of the referred user's first paid Fortiris invoice amount (excluding taxes and fees).
- Trigger: the commission is created only on the first successful payment made by the referred user.
- Minimum: no minimum commission threshold; however, amounts below $0.01 are not credited.
- Currency: USD only.
- No milestone bonuses, no volume tiers, no cash payouts in Phase 1.
5. Hold Period
Earned commissions are subject to a 30-day hold from the date of the referred user's first successful payment. Credits are not available for use until the hold period has elapsed. This hold protects against refunds and chargebacks.
6. Credit Application
After the 30-day hold, eligible credits are automatically applied to the Referrer's Fortiris billing account as a negative customer balance. Applied credits reduce the next invoice issued to the Referrer by Fortiris via Stripe. Credits are applied on a rolling daily basis by an automated process.
7. Credit Expiry
Unused billing credits expire 12 months after they become available (i.e., 12 months after the end of the 30-day hold). Expired credits cannot be reinstated.
8. Reversals and Forfeitures
A commission will be reversed, and any already-applied credit will be debited, if: (a) the referred user's payment is refunded; (b) a chargeback or dispute is filed or upheld; (c) the referral is found to violate these terms (e.g., self-referral, fraudulent attribution); or (d) Fortiris determines at its sole discretion that the referral was made in bad faith or through manipulation.
9. Prohibited Activity
The following activities void eligibility and may result in account suspension:
- Self-referral or referring accounts you control or are affiliated with.
- Misrepresenting Fortiris products or making false advertising claims.
- Spam, unsolicited messages, or bulk distribution of referral links.
- Using paid search ads that contain the Fortiris brand name or variations thereof.
- Automated or bot-generated referrals.
- Offering incentives to referred users outside the Program.
10. Attribution Rules
Attribution is cookie-based. The fortiris_ref cookie is set when a visitor clicks a referral link and expires after 30 days. Only the first-touch referral is recorded; subsequent referral links clicked by the same user do not override an existing attribution. Each referred user can be attributed to at most one Referrer.
11. Program Changes and Termination
Fortiris may modify or terminate this Program at any time with 14 days' prior notice posted to this page or sent to registered account holders. Credits already earned and past the hold period at the time of termination will be honoured for up to 90 days after termination. Credits still in the hold period at termination may be voided.
12. Taxes
Referrers are solely responsible for determining and discharging any tax obligations arising from credits received under this Program. Fortiris does not provide tax advice and does not issue tax forms in connection with the Program.
