What You Need
- Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
- A Fortiris account
- A trading account already created in your dashboard
- Your extension token from that account's Extension Token panel
Step 1 - Get Your Extension Token
- Log in to Fortiris.
- Open the dashboard.
- Select the trading account you want to sync.
- Open the Extension Token card.
- Click Generate token or Reveal token.
- Keep this token private.
Extension tokens start with ext_.
Step 2 - Install the Extension
- Open the dashboard and go to Downloads.
- For the standard path, choose Install from Chrome Web Store.
- If your environment blocks the store, choose the manual ZIP download from the same dashboard section.
Manual sideload steps
- Extract the ZIP to a folder on your computer.
- Open Chrome and go to
chrome://extensions. - Enable Developer mode.
- Click Load unpacked.
- Select the extracted extension folder.
If the install succeeds, you will see the Fortiris extension icon in Chrome or Edge.
Step 3 - Connect the Extension to Fortiris
- Click the Fortiris extension icon.
- Paste your
ext_token. - Save.
- Open your trading terminal tab.
- Refresh that tab once.
The extension captures the active browser session and starts polling automatically.
Step 4 - Verify It Is Working
In the extension popup, check for:
- Connected session banner
- Platform detected
- Last sync time updating
- Synced trade counts increasing after closed trades occur
In the Fortiris dashboard, confirm new trades appear in the Trades table and that starting balance has been detected when the platform exposes it.
Troubleshooting
No active terminal session detected
- Make sure a trading terminal tab is open and logged in
- Refresh that tab once after saving your token
- Confirm the extension is enabled for the current site
Trades are not appearing in Fortiris
- Re-check the token in the extension popup
- Confirm you are connected to the intended Fortiris account
- Wait 30 to 90 seconds for the poll cycle
- Close and reopen the extension popup to refresh status
Tradovate, NinjaTrader Web, or TradeLocker initial balance is not detected
- The extension tries to detect balance automatically from the platform history views
- This can take a few poll cycles if the platform has not loaded the needed data yet
- You can enter a starting balance manually in account settings if needed
DxTrade broker-specific endpoint paths
Some DxTrade brokers expose different endpoint paths and payloads. Fortiris supports automatic discovery, but broker-specific restrictions can still apply.
Security Notes
- The extension only uses your Fortiris
ext_token for ingestion requests - It does not place trades
- It does not move funds
- You can revoke and regenerate the token at any time from the Extension Token card
