Connecting MatchTrader
Fortiris supports MatchTrader primarily through manual CSV/XLSX upload. MatchTrader authentication relies on browser-based session state, so manual export remains the most reliable workflow.
Supported platform: MatchTrader web environments using the standard closed-positions export flow.
Recommended Method - CSV/XLSX Export
Step 1 - Export Closed Positions
- Log in to your MatchTrader web platform.
- Open History -> Closed Positions.
- Set the date range you want to import.
- Click Export.
- Choose CSV or XLSX.
- Save the file locally.
Step 2 - Upload in Fortiris
- In your Fortiris dashboard, open Imports.
- Click Upload File.
- Select the CSV or XLSX file exported from MatchTrader.
- Fortiris will detect the format and process the trades.
What Gets Imported
Fortiris extracts:
- Open time and close time
- Symbol / instrument
- Direction
- Volume / lot size
- Open and close price
- Profit / loss
- Commission and swap when present
Keeping Data Current
MatchTrader is typically a manual import workflow. Re-export and re-upload history on a regular cadence. Fortiris deduplicates overlapping uploads safely.
Experimental API Connection
Fortiris also includes an experimental MatchTrader connection in the Connections wizard. It may not work reliably for all platform operators because MatchTrader commonly protects authentication endpoints behind Cloudflare.
If you want to try it:
- Go to Connections -> Add Connection -> MatchTrader
- Enter your MatchTrader server URL and credentials
- If the connection succeeds, Fortiris will sync automatically
- If it fails, fall back to manual CSV/XLSX export
Troubleshooting
Format not recognized Make sure you exported from Closed Positions, not open positions or orders.
Missing trades in the export Expand the MatchTrader date filter. Some environments default to recent history only.
Wrong P&L values Some MatchTrader environments show P&L in account currency while others show it in instrument base currency. If values look off by an exchange-rate factor, contact [email protected] with the platform URL.
